The Importance of Understanding Racism in Art
i'm obviously on board with the idea that you can like enjoy art from problematic people right uh and you can even enjoy art sometimes that was made in a problematic context. It is wild to me how something can have such a deep deep rooted allegorical context in something so explicitly terrible but still somehow resonate in that way mhmYeah it's hard because that and that's why i emphasize that the racism is not secondary it's right It's really important to understand that like you can't have Lovecraft without the racism you're just not doing Lovecraft anymoreright um but you can do Lovecraft you just have to do it correctly do it correctly which is hard. Usually that involves inverting tropes right
