The way you treat old people now is the way you're going to be treated. The very people who decry the patriarchal structure are foisting a ne colonial doctrine of victimization on racial minorities that do not match their demographic. And so it's part of the intergenerational compact, let's say. But then again, there's a rule if you're in a nursing home, it's the same rule that you should use when you're dealing with your own children. Don't interfere with their autonomy. Leave them to practice what self care they can practise.
