Is 2019 a Great Year for Video Games?
The Last of Us Part 1 came out, that's already a critically acclaimed game. FIFA and Call of Duty, as you point out in your column, both did better than their predecessors. Even things like the retro Ninja Turtles, Kawabunga collection are on here. 2020 was a clear low point for the industry in NPD new releases that made the charts. The figures being from the NPD only take into account primarily you know retail, so physical retail, but also like digital stores.
