I was intrigued by the rank. Is it a meritocracy or does the officers sort of get the job through some political patronage? It's a mixture of both. You have things like political generals, you'd have people that you know war were granted a sort of honorary SS general rank in a uniform because those will be well aware the Nazis are the uniform. The Waffen SS on their s s actually wasn't anything peculiar and actually it was quite important when it came to Newenbow, more tries in the war.
