What Are the Mechanisms by Which Glaciers Transport Sediment?

Glaciers transport sediment in two main ways, plucking and bration. Plucking occurs when glaciers flow over bed rock,. Then they are able to soften and then lift up pieces of rock into the ice. Abrasion is more on the upstream side of the mutene. This results from where the glacier is grinding that the base of the glacier grinds at the rock at the base and forms inner striations. These processes don't always occur at the base of a glacier but can also occur at higher altitude. Hthe different glaciers can merge with each other as it merges down. So if you have a lot of this undifferentiated, mixed sedimentary material sort of line
