Neutron Degeneracy Pressure

Neutron stars can't exist above a certain mass. They spin round at as much as a thousand rebs per second without flying apart. If you were on the surface of a neutron star and tried to fire rocket, you'd have to fight at about half the speed of light if it was to escape. Black holes are more extreme still, because they are objects where the contraction has gone even further - so not even light can escape. And these are the end point of the most massive stars. To secular like myself, i'm already dizzy with admiration, though I'll take your finger tips for my particular interest in supernoves.
