The Numbers in Chess Can Fulfill Different Roles

Don't put a burden on yourself that you have to be improving. Don't let the numbers spoil your enjoyment of the game. There are sometimes when I'm just playing well and I'm playing really fluently, good positions seem to grow themselves. So one of the things that really fascinates me about chess is not only the game itself, but also the insight that it gives me into my own level of mental performance.
