Elijah slew the prophets of baal, and they took them down to the brook hishon. And then he went up on top of mount carmel,. He cast himself down upon the earth, and h put his face between his knees. On the seventh time there arose this little cloud. It came to pass in the meanwhile that the heaven was black with clouds. Elijah can go on foot faster than ahab can make it cool. The people are truly if it had been the other way around, which we know it never would have, but had prophets of Baal been victorious, they would have taken elijah.
