Is the Legal Framework Around Gun Violence Working?

In your ideal world, what does the legal framework around guns look like? I think it's a framework doesn't include the criminal system. This idea that we criminalize possession of guns, i just don't think it is a working model. We've seen models where people are identified to be at the highest level for shooting or being shot,. They're paired with people that can be a positive factmental life and offered opportunities for a real economic future. You now, i feel like that approach is a much moretife approach than indiscrimintely sending people to prison and hoping it get better when it hasn't gotten better after years of years.
