Adsheeve: When you think the action was caused, almost a's a kind of lack object whether it is caused deterministically or indeterministically. In either sense, who is it up to, or what is itup to, whether the action occurred? He says we would still think our actions are up to just by virtue of doing them and so wouldn't feel like we lacked control over them. Adsheeve: But in the uncaused case, there's nothing but the agent herself to determine which action occurs. There's nothing else that she needs to do. So tr doesn't seem to be any clear way.
