What Are the Potential Unintended Consequences of a Pandemic?

negative emotions may not only be normal, but also necessary. It's possible that negative emotions are actually driving people to wear their masks and get vaccinated. The study looked at intentions rather than actual behavior because of design constraints. But i'm very mindful that even good intentions can lead us to act in ways that back fire. And so we're try to be very vigilant as I do this work and related work.
