Is the Modern Central Bank Model a Central Bank?
The mature phase is where you really start to see the widespread adoption of all these more esoteric things like repo collateral and securities lending. So it's flowing even faster and in more complicated patterns. The modern central bank model is not a central bank. It's something else entirely. And they're sort of a symbiosis with, hey, well, we'll keep up the pretence for central bankers because that gives us political cover.
