The Importance of Relevance in Interviews

If a human conversation is losing their attention, something's not working. You're not talking about something real. And I think that's one of the other things that I give researchers permission to do in my workshops and otherwise is break the script. People get into what I call a puzzle solving mode. If you give them something that isn't part of their life, so, okay, map a path to Chinatown, that's just a completely different mode from look I need to get to city center.
