The race that if I could have my fantasy race and it's impossible now because they've changed the course, the race I would love to see Jim Wamsley run is the Angeles crest one. On the 1989 course that Jim O'Brien set the course record on of 1735, finishing in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The real challenge though was to win Angeles crest and Western States in the same year that no one ever did,. No one ever did and they had a massive award for it too. Yeah, it was something like solid gold belt buckle.
