The Importance of Emotional Growth in Romantic Comedies

I like that Sophie immediately accepts being older and sees the upside to it in a way that is very surprising. I think that that's something that the movie does as well just like this feeling of, you know what now I don't have to care about a lot of the the bullshit that I had to care about maybe as a young woman. The book is about how first impressions or surface impressions are often wrong but when she reconnects with her sisters and her her stepmother they're like oh you poor thing we could see you're under a curse.
