Harriet tubbin was the first woman to plan and execute an armed raid during the civil war. She took on multiple rolls serving the union army, alternately served as a cook, a laundress, a nurse, a guide, a scout and a spy. In 18 58 she began having a recurring prophetic dream. It predicted that abolitionist john brown would start a slave rebellion in hopes of creating a new state for freed slaves. But just like harriet's dream predicts, it didn't go well for him - he was captured and executed by firing squad.
