Sniffing a Dog's Mouth
A smell is to dogs much like vision is to most humans. It's a very primary sense and their main way of exploring the world. My dog, a type, when we go ond walks, gets a sense of the neighbourhood. He knows which dogs have walked by recently. Sniffing the sniffing the ground like sniffing patches of dried pea. All that feels exactly to me like in checking up on my social medeor feed. We're doing exactly the same thing em it. You know, not only are we pulling it away from information that it wants to examine, but also depriving it of this really crucial part of its doghood.
