The Importance of Prey Density in the Jee Tas

The Kuno National Park cannot support 20 Jee Tas, which is the number India went with. Indian officials argue that there is a higher prey density in this park compared to what was there in Namibia and maybe in South Africa as well. So they could indeed accommodate a more number of Jee Tas. But these territories, this is part of their social system and it is very rigid. If all the territories are occupied, then the additional males are becoming floaters as we call them,. They use much, much bigger area and encompass three of four territories.
