Involvement in the War in Afghanistan
i want to start by going all the way back to the us. Involvement, or rather lack of us. In afghanistan in the aftermath of the withdrawal of soviet forces in 19 89. And i'm wondering if you there are things the us. Could have done that would have precluded,. the talibons takeover of the country just a few years later. Would have prevented pretty much all the mess that we've had to deal with. That's a very important question, a question that i have pondered on. It goes back to theer struggle against the soviet union in the 19 eighties.
