In 1965, Kenzake Ashizu wanted to show Harvard students in the most casual version of Ivy League style you can imagine. After World War II, there emerged this new being known as a teenager who had more free time and disposable income. Dressing young used to mean dressing like a child because children used to wear literally infantilizing clothes for a really long time. We went from looking like little girl to looking like our mothers.
