Design is about working with other people. It's about taking the humble approach. You should be able to defend your work, but you should also be willing to hear other people's perspectives because that's when the best work is created. I'm ashamed and embarrassed to say that that's how it was for me when I first started. But all I had to say, like, empathy is the root. And I don't care how many people say it's overused. The understanding of that is very, very key.

He motivates us to always stay curious, and ask why to get to the heart of the problem faster. He encourages us to make sure we use the shiny objects available to us to actually solve a problem.
