The Trees and the Other Entities in the Vedic World View

In the vedic world view, there is no such thing as a non sentient thing. As we grow our consciousness, we begin to discover that we're surrounded by nothing but living beings. There is nothing in the universe that can be clared not sentient. The fundamental field, the unified field out of which all things become manifest itself, is a field of consciousness. It's not possible for consciousness not to be in a particular place. Therefore, everything is conscious, because the field itself that makes that thing is itself conscious. We don't know how your family would be if you weren't there. Whether they know why they feel better or not, their consciousness is somehow being uplifted
