If you try to judge the state of society by certain metrics, you can paint a picture that looks really good. Charles Garcia: If we had constructed such an enviable society, why is it that we have skyrocketing levels of suicide? He says there's probably 500 who are just one step away from that level of commissory. Garcia: And if we're going to start with sober assessment of where we are in terms of physical health, mental health, spiritual health, emotional health, these things need to change.
