Is Hegel's Idea, Isn't It?
Hegel is loathe to have theory or philosophy give directions for how practice should work. He's actually only philosopher who doesn't try to change the world, he just tries to interpret it. Even his statement of political quietism can be used as a basis for thinking about how we might frame our political action even though it's a statement about the impotence of theory.
