'Tupaa's Paintings
Tupaa painted a series of paintings to pi, trying to draw like a european but also drawing with his own style. He learned to paint from sporing and from sydney parkinson who's one of the the artists left on this voyagea. Topia would have been familiar with bark cloth painting and with tahitian tattooing which includes naturalistic images of peoples and plants.
