The Life and Times of Anna Marie Groshholz

Anna Marie Groshholz was born in Strasbourg, France in 1761. Her father came from a long line of executioners. She became an apprentice to Philippe Kirchius who produced wax models of the human body. The finished wax figure was then touched up and painted, glass eyes and wigs were applied, and teeth sourced from toothpolars were inserted.
