The Structure of an Equity Partnership
I think you need to actually build a scope of work for yourself, what you're going to be doing as far as the labor and the DIY stuff. I feel like me adding that sweat equity is kind of part of my sales pitch, but I get so burned out after two months on each of these properties. The first thing that I think of is, okay, if you have a dollar amount saying for easy math, say you're each putting in $50,000, okay? You're each getting 50% of the equity in the property. So maybe now you have a little bit more equity of 55%.
