Orthodox Christmas in Bakhmut
The embattled city of Bakhmut has been the scene of some of the bloodiest fighting of this war. There was no peace, no silence in Bakhmut on the eve of Orthodox Christmas. At one of the city's shelters, residents gather around a table, laid with food and tokens of the holiday. Candles provide the only light and warmth, in this, the darkest of times.
