How to Take Care of Unknown Risks in Laws
Criminal law will likely have to be a bit more precise than, say, criminalize the increase of existential risk and leave it up to the cause to ddefined what this actually means. So you could enact more specific, for instance, environmental criminal laws such as egoside criminalize the use of specific tools you think a pretty risky. But because these would all take a rather specific behavior, that would not take care of the yet unknown risk.
