Songhai - The Last King
The final king of songhai was a man named aski ishak. He seems to have been a relatively competent ruler, but he was also vengeful and merciless. The kings that followed each ruled for only a few years before being killed or deposed. At the same time, drought descended on the region, followed by famine and inflation. And its now largely slave based agriculture began to collapse.
