Is There a Bear Market Portfolio?
When you're younger, you have plenty of time to recover. But when you're an old guy like me, there is one thing with math that with respect to losses. It's not an issue, but it does tend to be an issue for older people who have less time to recovered. If you can make it work on the amount of money that you have right now, then things will naturally improve over time and it ends up being pretty good. So, from the other standpoint, if it works during the bear market, it's pretty close to an all-weather portfolio.
