The Complementarian View of Manhood and Womanhood
The term complementarian was coined back in the 70s, I think by John Piper and Wayne Grudem. It describes what we would see as a biblical vision of manhood and womanhood. In other words, men and women have different roles to play in God's purposes. And so, therefore, there are certain roles in the family and in the church that men are called to. There are certain roles that women in the church and in the home are calls to.
