The Pain of Gout
I haven't been afflicted by that most marvellous 18th century, the malady of kings, the gout, which has struck me down. What we should all pause and think is actually it's really painful. Luckily, locked in syndrome, my eyes still work. I've spent most of it unable to move. But it's all right for living like a Tudor.
