The Psychology of Sex Dolls
There's not a huge consensus around the psychology behind why someone might choose to buy a sex doll. In the DSM there's something called parafilia and the criteria includes intense sexually arousing fantasy sexual urges or behaviors generally involving non-human objects. Most sex doll owners don't actually qualify as having it because most people aren't ruining their life with a sex dolls.
