What Britain Decides to Do in the 1960s

When Clement Atley's government passed the 1948 Act they had no idea of the waves of post-war migration from the colonies and from the commonwealth. What Britain decides to do instead of dismantling imperial citizenship in the 1960s is pass key pieces of immigration policy. The automatic right of Commonwealth citizens to enter the UK ends in 1962, then in 1968 the British go one step further and pass an act that blocks full British citizens from entering the UK from East Africa.
