I did not know I was dyslexia throughout my K-12 experience. In fact I was bullied because that was called the dumb student and I stumbled onto my dyslexia when I was in college. And so I went from a D student to being on the dean's list once I got the help that I needed. But the significant part about it is that I knew that I would never beat you with brilliance. I'm going to beat you with endurance. I'm not going to surrender. The dark moment of not being able to learn was not. It turned out to be a blessing.
