Labour and the Scottish National Party in the Round of a General Election
Rishi Sunak: No prime minister would want to see the UK as it's currently constituted dissolve on their watch. From Rishi Sunak's perspective, it now looks now unimpossible that that could happen this side of a general election. So there's relief for him. The other two things I would sort of point to from a Westminster perspective today is that Labour has pointedly repeated what it's been saying for some time. And so that issue might have been kicked a little further down the track but it doesn't go away for as long as the SMP can maintain the dominance of Scottish politics.
