Shakespeare - A Brief History
In the 16 forties and fifties, some literary officionatos and antiquarians started to travel to stratford in or to try to gather information about shakespeare. These included the antiquarian john aubrey, who later became very influential. So these fans, you could say, little by little, gathered anecdotes and claims that may or may not be true. But as any historian will tell you, they have to be taken with a large grain of salt.
