The Social Mechanisms of Secularization in America

There is a circular relationship there to where our identities, our social group identities oftentimes end up driving our theological conclusions. Oftentimes what is taking place is younger generations are slightly different than the people who are just older than them. And as those older cohorts of people die off and younger cohorts replace them, what you end up with is a completely different culture. How does that help us develop more effective ministries? Knowing all of these things, insights into the social sciences, they can be helpful in helping us understand how we affect change.
