The Importance of Fixing Problems in Movies
Most scripts I get will have one of two things. They'll just have one thing that needs fixing. And that's just the a story problem. Like I got to get back to the future and nothing else. I need a new leg. The other prop thing will be we don't learn about these things that need fixing until like halfway through the movie, all of a sudden all these problems in the characters world start surfacing way late into the story. It's like, um, we learned that they have a peanut allergy, 50 minutes in and then they gets a peanut allergy attack on page 56. We've never heard about this life altering illness they've had the entire time.
