Ravel's Piano Concerto
Most American composers ignored both de Vorzak and Ravel, whether out of open racism or a condescending view of jazz as unworthy to be heard on the same stages as classical music. The main theme somehow sounds jazz-y American and French all at once. In the last moment Ravel returns to that spunky character he brought out so beautifully in the first movement. He is often accused of being cold, but I think there's a big difference between music being cool and cold if that makes any sense.
