The Lens of the Global South Is Really Ky
The term global south is so interesting to think through. Sometimes it's very useful as a term of solidarity, to bring people together around common cause. But i think it's really important in my own work, especially coming out of india, to recognize the forms of cast oppression against indigenous communities that are also comprised by this term. To deromanticize it thouthe way it connects with rachel cob capitalism is really complicated for me. It helps us get out of a overly simplictic, black white binery when it comes to thinking about race.
