Should You Use Micro Services or Monolithic?

A lot of what people proclaim as benefits of micro front ends and micro services are really just a reactionary device to get around the fact that these monolithic programs that these teams are working on sucked. Instead of being like hey let's redesign our program and actually architect it to be a good program they're like no we're going to scrap it and write a bunch of new small programs. I guarantee you that is not actually going to fix any of your problems. A good program is a well designed program with the correct abstractions using micro front ends or even monolithic. It doesn't matter. You're going to have the same problems no matter how you divide up your larger program.
