When the fertilizer band was put in place, a rice production, tea production, a rubber and cocoanut production were heavily impacted. And it turns out, when look at the aftermath of the band, it cost them more than what they were going to save. The transition to organic farming was intended to be over ten year period. But as soon as they did, they found out that they weren't able to offset the manure or just meet the Organic Fertilizer requirement for their crops. They had to import food, medicine and other critical supplies, even routine surgeries have been cancelled. It's fastening to me tat this experience with the glephisate band, which i guess
