The term 'sexual revolt' has several meanings. It can mean wholesale change in attitudes, rather than a fundamental shift in power structures. In the sixties and into the eighly seventies there was an idea of feminism as a revolutionary project in its own right. That is linked to a whole a sort of ide of the possibility of completely changing a way of life which is really, really radicald And it partly emerges at the end of the sixties as part of the same context.
