A Room With a View came out in 1985 so I don't think I thought when it came out but I definitely was in that 90s thing with all those merchant ivory movies remember and Howard then. So I have to admit I don't remember the first year that I read it but I'm sure it was in the early 90s. When I think of A Room With a VIEW I think of that scene with Helen of Autumn Carter in the field of Violet. Actually I realize it's Violet but I remember it with Poppies in my head and I too wanted to watch that movie in preparation for this call and I couldn't find it on any of my streaming devices.
