The Fed's Effort to Reduce Inflation
The next time we see a rate cut, is that when we start to see a flashing yellow sign of an economic downturn? No, not necessarily. The Fed has raised rates to a level that it believes to be restrictive or to restrain the economy. If inflation comes down, then the Fed can ease back on rates just to keep sort of less restraint on the economy.
