Immigration and Anti-Immigration Hostility

I think that when you have a strong left, there is opportunities for alternatives. People who come here to claim asylum are part of our communities. And we just need to be able to provide a system in which they are able to rebuild their lives here. I would say public hostility on the issue came to the fore very much in the referendum campaign if I'll just about it. There's no direct correlation between levels of immigration and anti-immigration hostility. But there is a correlation between negative press reports about migrants, refugees asylum seekers, and negative sentiment.
