Is Empathy a Signaling Word in UX Research?

UXR user experience or search field is very difficult to break into. The job seeking process is very difficult, especially for people who have a master's degree in ethnographic sociology. A friend of mine introduced me to the concept of UX and said it was something that you don't need a PhD in. So I moved from Ohio pursuing my masters at Ohio University to Atlanta where there were more jobs. And so I actually went to work as an assistant design team member on this podcast.
