Lampton walked backwards towards the river just trying to hold himself together. The worm which had now made its way up further up the river slide slide it or slid down the river bank and plopped into the water. They fought there in the river for hours and hours whenever the worm attempted to coil itself around lampton to squeeze him to death it got sliced up on the blades and the spikes  the blade and the spikes actually meant that the worm couldn't squeeze lampton to death and whenever it did it would chop itself up.
